Welcome to Mindfulness with Emma

I Have been practicing Mindfulness for a while now, but before I did, I never really understood what it was until I started to look at it in a totally different way. This is when I decided to become a Mindfulness Accredited Teacher.

I am also still on my own Personal Mindfulness journey, my own personal teachings of the beauty of Mindfulness and how it can change your mindset so much. Learning Mindfulness was the most amazing experience I could have ever taught myself...the journey of:

I am so pleased to be able to offer my 8-week Mindfulness Courses for both MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) practices.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is an integration of mindfulness practices and cognitive behavioural techniques. It is Designed specifically to help people who suffer repeated bouts of depression, to help prevent the depression from coming back.

 

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) helps decrease the negative thought patterns that can perpetuate stress and lead to depression and anxiety.

 

Both of these courses explore essential Mindfulness Meditation exercises and help cultivate new Skilful ways of dealing with what goes on in our bodies, minds and lives. In addition to the meditation exercises there is information (and discussion / activities) on healing stress, relaxation, stress management, and how to apply mindfulness to interpersonal communication.

 

Not only do these courses help and support you to work with emotional distress, anxieties, negative thoughts and general worries which can eventually turn into depression. They help you build confidence, self-purpose, trust in your own beliefs and help you realise your full potential in life.

 

These courses are the perfect way to find balance, peace and calm in your life which transforms you into a happier you!

Questions about the courses 

Do I need any equipment for the courses?

Just yourself and an open mind to learn and take in the amazing benefits of what Mindfulness can offer you. When we do yoga sessions you will need a Yoga mat, and for Meditations its best to be as comfy as possible so I normal say its best to sit on a cushion or chair and even have a blanket handy for longer Meditation sessions.

 

It's all about feeling relaxed and safe. 

I have never practiced Mindfulness before or Meditations?

That's absolutely fine, and actually even better as your learning something totally new with a beginners mind. Even if you have some Meditation experience you will learn Meditation on a whole new level.

Be open minded and learn to let go through Mindfulness. 

I'm currently struggling with Anxiety and Stress will

this course get rid of these feelings and emotions? 

Mindfulness wont get rid of your feelings of Anxiety and stress as Anxiety is something we have to live with on a daily basis depending on how bad your anxiety/stress is. But what Mindfulness will do is train your mind to help deal with these feelings and give you ways which will help you deal with those emotions when they arise. Mindfulness is amazing as it gives you a more clear and focused mindset, we explore all of this in our sessions. 

What does a typical Mindfulness session look like?

We always begin our sessions with a Meditation or Yoga session to totally relax the body and connect with your feelings. We'll explore the weeks theme and you'll learn how to incorporate Mindfulness into your daily

life and then discuss home practices.
